COMPASSIONATE LEADERSHIP IN EDUCATION GROUP COURSES
Six week online courses covering key aspects of leading with compassion, creating a culture of trust and confidence, inspiring your team, handling challenging situations with courage and kindness, dealing with your inner critic and practising self-compassion. Small groups enable meaningful conversation. Course includes online resources and discussion forum as well as two optional one-to-one coaching sessions.

Led by Jan Cresswell, Caritas Education Consultancy supports current and aspiring school leaders in achieving transformational leadership through compassionate practice.
Jan is a long-standing champion of compassionate leadership in education. Most recently as head of a high-performing independent secondary school, she has over twenty years’ senior leadership experience in 3-18 HMC, GDST and IB World Schools.
A well-established adviser on effective and sustained culture change, team development and strategic planning, Jan is ideally placed to work with current heads and leadership teams seeking to take their school forward, as well as supporting individuals on their path to leadership.
At Caritas, we understand the difference strong, compassionate leadership can make. Our approach is highly collaborative, centred on active listening and taking time to understand your goals. We don’t believe in templates and will always work with you to create a plan tailored specifically to your context, helping you bring about the change you wish to see.

An experienced headteacher and leadership coach, Jan has a passion for developing confident and courageous leaders who create the conditions for optimum growth and wellbeing in their schools. She has also delighted in sharing her love of English literature and theology with students of all ages in thirty years of classroom teaching since her days at the University of Durham.

Consultant
Research Fellow in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at UCL, Chris brings research experience to the team as well as many years in education leadership.
